Imago Dei is a Latin phrase meaning “the Image of God.”
Rooted in the truth of Genesis 1:27, we believe that every single human being—regardless of their background, status, or circumstance—is fearfully, wonderfully, and intentionally made in the image of the Creator. Because of this divine reflection, every individual possesses an inherent, unalterable dignity and worth that no one has the right to violate or steal.
Human trafficking is a direct assault on this truth. It attempts to turn people into commodities, stripping them of their freedom and dehumanizing the very image of God within them.
Imago Dei is our first step toward building a dedicated anti-human trafficking initiative in India. We are a space under construction, but our conviction is already absolute: exploitation must end, and dignity must be restored. We refuse to delay action while we build our framework. This is our commitment to stand up for the vulnerable, disrupt networks of abuse, and remind the world that no human being is ever for sale.
